FM Zarif, Iran's Top Human Rights Official Hold Bilateral Talks

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif and Ali Bagheri, secretary of the Iranian Judiciary’s High Council for Human Rights, have held talks on Monday.


Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif and Ali Bagheri, secretary of the Iranian Judiciary’s High Council for Human Rights, have held talks on Monday.


Foreign Minister Zarif and Bagheri, who is also the deputy head of the Iranian Judiciary for international affairs, held a meeting in Tehran on Monday evening.

In the gathering, the two officials discussed the ways to strengthen and promote cooperation and coordination between the Judiciary’s department of international affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, particularly in protecting the rights of the Iranian expatriates, pursuing the release of the Iranian inmates in the other countries, pursuing the case of assassination of Lt. General Qassem Soleimani at the local and foreign tribunals, as well as coordination in protecting the Islamic Republic of Iran’s principles and standards at the international circles, including in the sphere of human rights.
